What is Youth Development/4-H?
South Dakota Cooperative Extension programs in youth development/4-H give young people a chance to learn new skills, gain self confidence, and contribute to their communities. Backed by the knowledge and research base of South Dakota State University, extension educators design educational, leadership and citizenship experiences for youth. These programs are delivered at the local and state level to nearly 60,000 youth in neighborhood clubs, schools and other community venues.
